About Saga

In Norse mythology, Saga is a goddess of wisdom and storytelling. We built Saga to preserve life stories before they are lost — making it easy for anyone to record their own story or that of someone they love, and keep it for the generations that follow.

Saga was founded by Andreas and Will. Both of us had experienced the rare good fortune of being able to listen back to the recorded voices of people we loved after they were gone. Will's uncle had interviewed his grandparents years earlier, and those recordings became something the whole family treasured. We wanted to make that possible for everyone.

Saga guides you through the process at your own pace — asking questions about your life and giving you space to answer in as much or as little detail as you like. You can record on your own or together with someone.

Once you've recorded your story, you can edit it, add photos, and combine chapters with those of family members who shared key moments with you. When you're ready, Saga turns it into a hardcover book.
